What a way to start off 2012! This was technically my first wedding of 2012 and I couldn’t think of two better people to spend it with! Wendy is a fellow photographer and teacher and Alan her college love. They are perfect together, a relationship that has grown stronger throughout the time they have given it to mature. They are such a sweet couple, always concerned about everyone else. Wendy did an amazing job planning this special day, it came out just perfect. I was so excited to find out early on that we were going to be doing their bridal portraits in the beautiful Mission of San Juan Capistrano, the oldest existing mission in California. This mission was breathtaking and even more so with the beautiful bride and groom as the subjects in the photos. It was fun to watch all the tourists stop and watch them. A little girl even walked up to Wendy to hug her, I am convinced that she thought she was a princess!
I felt right at home with Wendy and Alan’s family… what a fun family! I hope to be at many more of this family’s weddings! I couldn’t help but add some pictures of them in there also, what a beautiful family.
So with all that said I must admit that I am guilty of my longest blog post ever… I promise not to post so many images the next time around, but lets be honest- over 9000 images were shot, of which I somehow managed to get that to 1300 and then from there blogged about 150-200 of them… ahhh! I did really try but there were so many beautiful details thanks to Wendy and Alan’s hard work and a set of amazing vendors. And speaking of vendors can I talk for one second about the vendors. Lets start with the planning. Hope from LVL Weddings & Events was amazing, so sweet, so organized, so down to earth. Really stellar job to say the least. And the flowers were simply amazing! Pamela from French Bouquet took Wendy’s vision and made it an incredible reality. To be honest I had a million more flower shots I wanted to blog but just didn’t. From the succulents the the cigar boxes the flowers were exquisite. Great job! The wedding took place at Franciscan Gardens, this beautiful venue tucked away in downtown San Juan Capistrano, its own little piece of paradise. 24 carrots created an incredible spread of delicious food to compliment the night. Vox DJ kept the night going! Thanks everyone for a great night!
Wendy and Alan, my prayer for you is that your marriage would be blessed and that you would remember to keep God at the center of it. I promise that if you do that, everything else will fall into place.
With all my love,
Meagan
